Adani Power Limited shares gained 0.72% to ₹639.00 on the National Stock Exchange, with trading volume hitting 543.64 lakh shares worth ₹3,323.27 crore. The company secured an additional 800 MW capacity under the Greenshoe Option from MP Power Management Company Limited, doubling its total awarded capacity to 1,600 MW.

The new ultra-supercritical thermal power plant in Anuppur district will require an investment of approximately ₹21,000 crore. Adani Power will maintain the same tariff of ₹5.838 per kWh as the initial project. This marks India's first adoption of a greenshoe option in thermal power tendering.

With coal linkage allocated under the SHAKTI Policy, both units are expected to be operational within 60 months. The project represents Adani Power's fifth major power supply order in the past year, bringing total awarded capacity to 7,200 MW.
